William C. Lambert, M.D.

Since Dr. Lambert was a young child he had aspirations of being a doctor. He completed his undergraduate work in 1985 at the University of Georgia (UGA) with a major in Psychology/Pre-Med. As many of his patients already know, Dr. Lambert is a huge UGA fan! He then attended the Medical College of Georgia and graduated in 1989. After medical school Dr. Lambert completed three years of residency at the Medical Center East in Birmingham, Alabama. After residency Dr. Lambert moved back to Georgia with his wife. In 1994, Dr. Lambert opened Tyrone Family Medicine and has been in practice ever since.
Georgina Thompson, NP-C
Georgina is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She grew up in Florida and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida State University. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Woman’s Services for over 10 years while obtaining her Masters of Science in Nursing from South University. Georgina has been with Tyrone Family Medicine since 2017.
Georgina has lived in Georgia since 2008. She is married with 3 boys and a girl. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends watching movies and LOVES going to Disney World.
Lauren Schwartz, NP-C
Lauren is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She grew up in South Carolina and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Wofford College. She then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Kennesaw State University. She worked in maternal/newborn nursing for nearly ten years before returning to Kennesaw State University to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing. Lauren has been with Tyrone Family Medicine since 2019.
Lauren has lived in Georgia since 2005. She is married with 3 active boys. They all enjoy sports and outdoor activities. She is a huge baseball fan…Go Braves!
Amy Watkiss, NP-C
Amy is a native Georgia girl and was raised in Fayette County. She graduated from Sandy Creek HS here in Tyrone. She earned her BSN in 1999 from Mercer University in Atlanta. In 2008 she graduated from the University of South Alabama as a Family Nurse Practitioner. As a nurse practitioner, she has worked in both family medicine and urgent care. She is married with 2 adult sons. In her spare time, you will likely find her swimming, biking, or running and participating in triathlons.
